Improves signs of aging around the eyes. It will not help crease lines which pass over the cheekbones, but the operation is often combined with a facelift which does.

COMMON COMPLICATIONS
Early: Severe bruising and swelling and soreness in the eye. Sometimes the skin pulls down away from the eye but this corrects itself when the swelling improves.
Late: The scars may show occasionally and can require improvement treated by adjusting the operation at about 6 months afterwards.
Your surgeon must be properly qualified to do the operation and he will advise you what can and what cannot be achieved in your case. Do take that advice.
